All Hallow's Eve

In an airtight 1/2 gallon jar with a lid, combine the essential oils with the fixative adding the cinnamon oil first, then the sandalwood oil, one drop at a time. Cover and shake gently. Let the oils and fixative blend for 2-3 days before using.

Mix together the flowers and herbs and blend. Add this mixture to the container with the oils and fixatives. Next, add the textured elements. Place lid on jar, shake gently and store in a cool, dry place to cure for 4-6 weeks.

Dried Flowers and Herbs
1 cup calendula (marigold) flowers
1 cup spearmint leaves

Essential Oils
20 drops cinnamon oil
15 drops sandalwood oil

Fixative
1/4 cup mixed ground cinnamon and ground cloves

Textured Elements
2 cups dried apple pieces
1/2 cup sandalwood chips
1/2 cup broken cinnamon sticks
1/4 cup whole cloves
1/4 cup calamus root

Finishing Touches
1/2 cup honeysuckle blossoms
1/2 cup acorns (gilded)
1/4 cup toadstools
1/4 cup black bat and silver moon confetti (or Halloween confetti)
